Can’t find your school on the chapter list? Then join the virtual chapter! If you attend classes strictly online rather than on campus, or attend a school where we have been unsuccessful in launching an FBLA-PBL chapter, this is just for you! Through the virtual chapter, individuals can join FBLA-PBL and participate fully in conferences, competitive events, member recognition programs, and other elements of FBLA-PBL. The benefits of being a California FBLA-PBL member will be available to you.
- Membership in this chapter is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
- enrolled in a post-secondary school
- attending a school that does not have an active, “regular” chapter
The virtual chapter is designed for those who are interested in FBLA-PBL, but may not have enough resources or experience to start a chapter at their school. Getting involved through participation in our many events is the best way to get you started! As a virtual chapter member, you will have support necessary to start a chapter. The state officer team will help you understand the benefits of FBLA-PBL and guide you through the process. Chapters like UCLA and UCSD were established by individuals who were once members of the virtual chapter.
- I was a member of FBLA in high school and wanted to stay involved at the college level, but since there was no existing chapter at my school, I was ready to quit FBLA-PBL and pursue my other interests. The virtual chapter is what brought me back into FBLA-PBL. In addition to getting acquainted with the structure of the organization at the college level, I met new friends and was able to utilize newfound resources that helped me establish a chapter at UCLA. - Lona Kwan, UCLA
- While in the virtual chapter, I could see a great future expansion of California FBLA-PBL. This gave me the motivation to establish a real chapter at UCSD. FBLA-PBL benefits not only myself, but also students at UCSD and the San Diego community. – Bill Fu, UCSD
