2011 State Business Leadership Conference

State Business Leadership Conference (SBLC)

SBLC is the premier event for California PBL and the first level of the national business competition program. Participants have exciting opportunities to:

  • Compete in over 60 business and career preparation competitions!
  • Run for a state officer position!
  • Participate in informative and interactive leadership workshops!
  • Ladies participate in our annual California MISS PBL!
  • Be a voting delegate and elect the leaders of California PBL!
  • Network with FBLA-PBL members from across the state, as well as with national leaders!

A couple of programs and website issues have been fixed:

1. SBLC Scholarship Deadline is March 21

2. CAP errors:
(a) Students may enter any up to 3 knowledge events.
(b) “Web Site Development” got renamed to “Web Site Design” this year–the CAP now matches the rubric.
(c) Parliamentary Procedure is an Individual event at State (written portion only).
(d) To submit Who’s Who in PBL nominees please do so using the registration excel sheet.

3. All PDF documents can now be viewed using Apple Preview.

4. Fresh Start is now uploaded onto the website.

5. An updated version of the SBLC Excel Registration Form has been uploaded. (Business communication is now correctly listed under performance, the new events for this year have been added to the form).

FBLA-PBL & Anaheim Ducks Sports Marketing Conference

Join FBLA-PBL in the Anaheim Ducks Sports Marketing Conference this winter!

This event is the opportunity to learn business and career skills, explore the sports industry, network with members, fundraise for your chapter, and have fun!

Date: Friday, January 7th, 2011

Location: Honda Center, 2695 E Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92806

Conference Time: 3:00PM – 5:00PM

Game Time: 7:00PM

Anaheim Ducks VS Columbus Blue Jackets

Ticket Prices:

Terrace Value – $22.00/ticket

Terrace Main – $45.00/ticket

Terrace Lower – $66.50/ticket

For each Terrace Value ticket purchased, $3.00 will be given back to your chapter. For each Terrace Main ticket purchased, $10.50 will be given back to your chapter. For each Terrace Lower ticket purchased, $14.00 will be given back to your chapter.

Meal Tickets (Optional):

Hot Dog & Soda meal tickets – $5.00/each
