Summer Training Conference (STC) is the opportunity for chapter and state leaders to meet, network, and work together to improve PBL knowledge and marketing skills, learn about new state goals and programs, and get ready for the year! A smaller, more intimate setting helps chapter leaders and state officers to bond with each other. Join officers and ambitious members from across the state to brainstorm ideas for the new year, participate in team-building activities, relax, and have fun!
This statewide leadership development experience is generally held in late October or early November for chapter officers, members with leadership potential, and chapter advisers. The State Fall Business Leadership Conference (SFBLC) is planned and hosted by the state officers and the state management team. Sessions include motivational general sessions, workshops presented by state leaders, and training delivered by professionals from the business community.
The State Business Leadership Conference (SBLC) is the premier event for California PBL and the first level of the national business competition program. Participants have exciting opportunities to:

National Fall Leadership Conferences (NFLCs) are nationally sponsored training programs are held each fall in various cities around the country. The program focuses on professional and career development, chapter management planning, and general leadership education. For many PBL members, the NFLCs are a convenient and affordable way to experience much of the education and excitement of an NLC.

Institute for Leaders (IFL) is eld in conjunction with the National Leadership Conference, this focused, specialized training program represents the premier leadership and career training available to FBLA-PBL members. Participants select specific tracks to focus their training and participate in both required sessions and elective sessions where they can customize their overall experience. Tracks currently offered include Principles of OfficerShip, Mastering OfficerShip, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Personal Success, and Adviser Leadership.

The National Leadership Conference (NLC) is a nationally-sponsored conference is held in June or July of each year in a different city around the country. State winners compete in the various competitive events. Leadership training is offered and national officers are elected.
FBLA-PBL members have the competitive edge, as the best and brightest of FBLA and PBL convene to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits. This four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLA-PBL experience, especially for those running for national office. FBLA-PBL has forged partnerships with industry leaders to underwrite competitive events and scholarships for students achieving national ranking.
